The Face Behind The Name
Jared Higgins is a Chicago rapper whose name Juice WRLD was influenced by the 1992 2Pac film Juice. Higgins continued to build himself as a performer in his freshman year in college but took flight during his sophomore year.
Lucid dreaming is described as the state of perception where a person is mindful that they are fantasizing. They happen more often while people who should be up are asleep. The dreamer, to a certain degree, may affect the dream story. In this album, Higgins relates the idea to sleep dysfunction, a condition in which a sleeping brain is alive and awake and has little capacity to move or communicate.
Juice WRLD’s producer, Nick Mira, is responsible for creating Juice WRLD’s original songs, and Juice WRLD itself composes his works. As a youth, he learned to play multiple musical instruments like piano, guitar, trumpet, and drums.
Juice WRLD frequently references chief Keef and 2Pac as he mentions his favorite rappers. Still, his music is mostly an eclectic blend with Chicago born rapper citing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Guitar Hero as reasons for performing a wide range of musical genres.
“Lucid Dreams,” Sting And The Whole Controversy
“Lucid Dreams” was the breakout hit in 2017 and was one of the most successful songs of 2018. And the artist maintains that he was unaware of the origins of the sample used on the album. He said that he was not familiar with the fact that “Lucid Dreams,” according to Sting, is the beautiful interpretation of ‘Shape of My Heart.” The song, which was supposedly finished within fifteen minutes, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since been certified five times: platinum.
