Many people have said that lucid dreams are like flying, or they can be compared to the super state of mind known as God’s imagination. Lucid dreams are said to experience wherein the dreaming person gains a clear and sometimes vivid perception of reality. Many of these people also say that lucid dreams are very similar to hypnosis because they share a number of common characteristics with it. There is a big difference between reality and fantasy however, as Lucid Dreams is just that, lucid dreams! They are dreams that one is able to perceive from within one’s mind.
People With At Least One Lucid Dream
The majority of people who have had at least one lucid dream report that they were aware that they were dreaming while they had it. Some even reported that they were aware they were dreaming while having it. This should come as no surprise to most people. What is surprising is that many people cannot remember having a dream, or even waking up from a dream! Lucid dreams are also often very funny and do not conform to any kind of pattern the brain normally operates with. Many reports also indicate that there are some warnings associated with dreaming that one should be aware of if they wish to have lucid dreams.
Waking Up From Your Dream
Sleep paralysis is a condition where you may experience waking up from your dream prematurely. Many times this happens when people have an out of body experience while they are asleep. Some people are prone to having this condition, while others are not. It usually only occurs during the period of rapid eye movement sleep (REMS). People who are prone to experiencing sleep paralysis are advised to wear earplugs or ear muffs whenever they are asleep. Also, many people find that by taking some acetaminophen or ibuprofen prior to going to bed can reduce the occurrence of sleep paralysis.
Some people have said that they can distinguish the difference between what is a dream and what is not a dream. They can then recognize when they are dreaming or not. This is especially helpful for people who have trouble remembering their dreams as well as for those who need a memory enhancement. Some people have even used hypnosis to help them get a clearer head.
There are many ways to have lucid dreams and some methods are easier than others. One such method is to practice visualization techniques and to visualize certain things while you are asleep. For example, a number of individuals report that they were able to visualize flying or walking through walls. These types of lucid dreams do require a great deal of concentration on your part though and many of them are not likely to come in handy if you want to have some fun in the middle of the night.
However, not everyone agrees with the effectiveness of lucid dreams. Some people who are skeptical about anything that is paranormal claim that lucid dreams are just tricks of the mind. They point out that most lucid dreams reported by people are not accompanied by any type of visible or audible evidence. They also point out that there are numerous scientific reports that point to the fact that lucid dreams are nothing but the brain’s way of fooling itself.
